Speaking about things that happened once upon a time,yesterday,reading an interesting blog that speaks of voyages and trips in Italy,we encountered a sacred tree connected with the pagan religion of wicca called in italian “sambuco”(and in english,the elder tree).This sacred tree is consacrated to the white goddess,and in the medieval time,his wood was used by the witches to create from it magic wands and magic brooms.This enchanted tree is also connected to the halloween night,in which the two veils between the two worlds become more subtles and the contact with the spirits of dead person become easier.The deform tree,deform because full of ridges and of years that narrate his history represent the popular sense of guilty as the witches and the broom,and it wants to remember us the importance to think with our head and not to use all the time the head(represent ironically by a pumpkin during Halloween)of the others.The elder-tree is also called the tree of eternal time,and the leyends says that once upon a time we read about it or we ecounter it in a road or in same way we found it,it gaves to persons an eternal life,it give protections to persons and gives them good gifts.In ancient time,this elder-tree was a rovo,and it was see as the bad one.But in the very first primitive time,his ancient name was Milagros,and it rememebers us the Sinai tree,that always burnt in the desert with his mysterious sunlight.
