A rich family bought an old castle in england in which there is a ghost inside..but the family is not scared by the ghost but they make jokes of him.

The ghost is sir simon de canterville that don t love to be joked by the family..he did a lot of bad things:he left a smear of blood on the rug,he did a lot of noise in the old castle,and so on.

The family try to sympatize a bit with the ghost:they left the oil for his chain in the middle of their saloon,they try to wash the blood on the rug,and Virginia,the young daughter,try to talk with the ghost,who is very sad for the death of his wife..after a lot of talks with Virginia,the ghost finally find the peace and his body is found by Virginia and they decide to inter him in a more dignitous way..Sir Simon,the ghost finally found the peace thinking about his dead wife..
